i have a mercruiser v-6 4.3l mercruiser vortec with a cobra outdrive i was wondering if i could place a 270 outdrive on there or would it mess up my motor
i am assuming that a 270 is for a 4 cyclinder motor please let me know if that is correct

no, nothing is possible there, imo

might try to find the guy that paired the Mercruiser to the Cobra drive - he is a problem solver.

Ayuh,.. Considering what you have Now, is pretty much Impossible,...
I guess Anything is possible going forward...

No,... You need to post some pictures of this Monstrosity you have....

Mercruiser don't go with OMC, nor Volvo...

What you state in post #1 is,...
You have a Chevy, with a Yugo driveline in it,+ you want to use a Cadillac transmission in it.....

i just placed a new fuel line on a primed my pump tried to run for a second then died. wondering if my carb is clogged or if there is another issue
has spark and is getting fired checked with a spark gun any idea will be greatly appreciated

hooked up my starter today and for some reason my battery negative started smoking from the neg that goes to the front panel can anyone please tell me how to fix this problem

Adding mult question on different topics to the same thread is confusing. Makes it difficult for people to help you. I would suggest that you start separate threads for each problem.
It still hasn't been resolved (no pics yet) on what eng/outdrive you have.
If you don't have the pos and neg switched then smoking connections under high amp draw are usually from dirty connections.
