Outlet?

I have a 1997 bass tracker team pro. I noticed an outlet above my map light on side consol. The outlet does not seem to have any use, not hooked up or does not seem you can even wire it. Does anyone know what this feature is? Looks like a cigarette lighter plug?

probably a 12v outlet same as a cigarette lighter my 2009 pro-guide has two of those. intended use for em is for cellphone chargers i pod player adapters etc.
