I layed my boat up. Mercruser 7.4 bravo II. It has a lower unit fill resivor on the engine. last week it had 1/2 to3/4 inch of lower end fluid in it but now it is gone. the trim is set all the way down. where did the fluid go? Does it expand and contract with the outside temperature?

Thanks Steve..

It doesn't expand and contract THAT much.
Have you changed the gear lube lately? Pulled the drive to check the bellows? If so, any oil in the bellows?
Have you checked the bilge for gear lube?
