I have a 16' boat and shor'lander trailer. I store it outside and covered all winter. Someone told me to raise the trailer up so as not to leave pressure on the trailer tires. True, False, or doesn't matter?

I have a similar boat. I remove my tires completely and store them inside. I also strip the trailer hubs and grease up the bearings. The tires will flat spot if left with weight on them. They will also be more liable to crack. An added bonus is that it is much harder to steal a boat when there is no tires or hubs on the trailer.

At least make sure the pressure it at max as stated on the tire. If you use jackstands, support the frame instead of the axle.
