I have been reading alot of posts over the last couple days. See, I have just bought my first "vintage" boat and it shows its age in some areas. Ik alot about wheeled vehicles, not as much about boats though. My set up has a pressure tank and the hoses are old, splitting and the o rings are rough looking. I was reading on how to fix this when I dawned on me, why not just run 2 regular lines and add my own billet quick connects from summit? At least till I can afford to restore the boat?

You could do that. All the parts are available for that tank no mystery in fixing it. Tank kits, hoses and O-rings are all available for it. Also if the hoses are that bad it's a good guess the tank is to.

I may do that in the future. I was just surprised that no one has mentioned that for less that $10, you can just get rid of all the connection problems

They really aren't a problem.....new o rings are a couple bucks, and line a few bucks a foot. 10 minutes and you are up and running. I have dozens upon dozens of pressure tanks, some fully restored, some not, I don't mind them at all. Easy enough as well to convert to fuel pump if that makes it easier for you.
