Can anyone please help me with testing the overheat alarm? When I bought I had the shop disconnect the vro. Now due to other issues that I wont get into I have replaced the fuel pump with a premix block mounted pump. I want to completely remove the vro pump of course but there are wires coming from it to a harness that I am not sure about. I know of course at least some of them are the no oil alarm for the vro but not sure about the rest of them. My real concern is that my overheat alarm is still working. can I disconnect all of these wires from the vro or is the overheat somehow wired in there as well? and how can i test the overheat alarm?? Im not even sure where to look. For some reason I think i am supposed to get a test beep when i turn the key, I have never heard a beep as long as i have had this motor so that obviously concerns me. I have a feeling that when the shop disconnected the vro they disabled the entire warning system.
thanks for any help,
steve
