I have a 77 mercruiser with a 3.0 engine and mr drive.I lost the water pick-up or plastic thing out of lower end.The last time I took it out last year it overheated.It has new water pump and did not overheat with hose connected to it.This maybe a stupid question.Could it cause and overheating problems with water picup out of lower end? thanks phil
