overheating evinrude 35

My 1980 evinrude 35 has started to overheat,<br />there is plenty of water coming out of the jet but as you start to put on the gas she starts to boil......THERMOSTAT? If so can someone talk me through replacing it.<br /><br /> THANKS

NICKS EVEN RUDDER,I would check the water pump also! when was the last time it was changed? bill
