 I have a 2003 190 Fourwinns 5.0L penta that is running at 190 degrees. Then overheats at idle. The dealer (to be named later) on the 1st trip charges $180 to change thermostat and impeller. Not Fixed, 2nd trip $350 to replace the impeller housing. Not Fixed, 3rd trip $750 all labor and a $10 part and tighten some hoses?? What's wrong with this?? Any ideals on the overheating of the boat.

thanks

Re: Overheating&overcharged

It could be there are chunks of an old impeller plugging the small water passages in the outdrive.

This is more of a VP problem than a Four Winns problem. You may have better luck posting on the I/O forum.
