I have a 1986 16' Starline with a Merc 120 and an alpha one outdrive. I overheated yesterday so I today I pulled the lower unit off and was going to check the impeller, replaced it last year at this time, but I found that it looked great. I did notice that the water tube stayed in the lower side and not in the top, but that was the only thing out of the ordinary. I hooked it up[ on the muffs to make sure water was moving through the system and it does, so I put a tub under it and found that there was no suction from the water pickups creating my overheating. I do have the proper manuals for it but am still not understanding what this could be....Thanks for looking and even more thanks for the help
