I have been troubleshooting an overheating problem. Occurs at idle as well as running (naturally).
Murphy's law has jumped into this a couple of times. For example, while running on muffs recently, I realized that water stopped (or nearly stopped) coming from my hose while I was running the engine. When I looked into the house problem, I saw that my pump pressure switch failed which was causing my reserve tank to run dry. Replaced the impeller - again!
I put everything together and while running on the muffs again, I noticed water coming from the outdrive (see photo). This isn't normal, right? I assume that I missed the water tube somehow when I put the drive back on. The photo isn't my boat obviously, I just used it for illustration. The arrows are showing where I see the water squirting from. Water is still getting up and through the engine, but I not convinced all of it is getting there.
Thoughts?
