Overheating

Hey guys finally got my engine started after rebuild. Everything sounds great. I have only ran it with the ear muffss so far seeing as i need to redo my bellow in my out drive. The temp gage goes to over 200 degrees within just a few minutes of running. do hav a small crack on the intake manifold. the crack has a steady drip, but not pouring out. The Thermostat is new. and all the bolt on stuff is the stuff from the motor before it froze, and all was fine. Any ideas what this could be? is just a couple of minutes to fast for it to get that high? could my gage be off?? at a loss.

Ayuh,... Fix the cracked intake, 'n Replace the Impeller...
