2005 VP 5.0 GXI with SX outdrive, Fourwinns boat, so my over-temp alarm (little red cylinder under the dash) has started "buzzing" when the key is in the "on" position - not loud, but enough to hear it and go looking for it. Still makes the very very loud two beeps when first turning on the key, but then it buzzes constantly. Do these things go bad over time or do I maybe have a voltage leak somewhere? Thanks, Scott R.

I'm thinking it might be one of the switches is going bad. The GXI will have a oil temp sensor which the ECM uses and a oil pressure switch which is connected directly to the buzzer viz Tan/Blue wire. If the switch is going bad it may be ever so slightly be making a connection. Either that or the Temp switch may also have similar issue
