Well took the plunge, boat runs great but has a small leak in bellows so I am ordering a kit to change them. Boat was garage kept in heated garage since 1980 and used sparingly since then. Great shape no tears in seats bimi top still in good shape. I will be looking for help on the bellows change when I do it. I am really excited, my dad had one when I was a kid (1975 22' holiday OB) and we r partners on this one.

A couple more photo's. The paint is excellent on the top however the bottom by the transom is bare aluminum where it has been hitting bottom going in and out of the river where it was used. I was thinking of repainting that area to protect it. What do you guys think.

Wow that boat is a time capsule. Nice find. No worries on painting the bare aluminum. One of the joys of an aluminum boat is the ability to beat it up against stuff with little consequence.

Welcome otts, nice boat you got there. As ez mentioned no need to worry about some bare aluminum as it wont rust. :p:D

If you do want to put some paint on it clean it well to remove contamination then use a self-etching primer for aluminum. You can use rattle can paint to spray on after that.

congrats nice boat looks just like my 75 Holiday . Same color and trim Mine is a 22 ft Holiday with a 200 outboard on it. Great big water boat. You will have a blast with it esp. with the v5 Hull.

Re: owner of 75 holiday 18' IO 140

I am really looking forward to next summer. My kids are about the same age as I was when my dad had his 1975 22' holiday, we were looking for a Holiday for a while and found this one. I remember looking at his in the showroom when I was a kid We are both new to I/O's so it will be a learning experience. I have read much about this boat and it all seems pretty staight forward. His 22' was an OB with the same color scheme as this one, probably just like your 22' but it only had a merc 95 on it.

That's gotta be in the best condition of any 60s-70s Starcraft I've seen, what a nice find. The seats, vinyl and gauges are immaculate:D

The only thing I see missing is a "T" on your starboard badge.:p

Welcome to the site, although it seems like you don't need to do much work on the rig there are lots of good folks who can answer questions here:)

BTW it doesn't look like a V5 hull to me, it's a standard 18' Holiday from what I can tell. Great rig, congrats!
