Quick back story. Helping a buddy out. His engine would not cold start without ether.
Changed LP fuel pumps. Didn't fix.
Changed VST filter and cleaned VST tank (both extremely clean)
Changed inline fuel filter
Changed pressure regulator filter (fairly nasty)
Cleaned injectors backyard mechanic style with carb cleaner (against the advice from THT)
Took to boat ramp yesterday and problem solved. She fired right up.
New problem. She idles at ~1500-1600 rpms. Slams in and out of gear. Sounds like the fuel is definitely getting to the cylinders now.
From what i have seen it should idle when warm about ~730 correct?
What is purpose of testing the TPS harness and could this affect idle?
Still haven't found exactly what or where adjustment for idle speed is?
What device on engine actually reports to computer whether engine is cold or warm?
