Oxidized hull (red)- repainting - what paint?

I have a 7 inch red stripe just below the rub rail that gets oxidezed from year to year. I compound and clean every year only for it to last through half the season.

I've decided to repaint. What paint should i use? I've read that some guys on here use a Polyeurothene car finish paint, that will work great.

Any other ideas/suggestions?

Ayuh,... Is it painted on, or Vinyl stick-on stripping,..??

2-pt automotive paints are pretty much the Same as 2-pt boat paints...
