packing grease into bearings

i need to go and pack new grease in my boat trailer axles. are there any diagrams that any can me about or is it pretty self explanitory when ever you get in there. i have never had to do it before, this is why i am asking, thanks

Google or Yahoo search on "packing wheel bearings". There are several techniques but none of them beats the manual, palm of the hand method.

I like using the bearing packing tools. I never had used one until last year, but they work great. And they are only about $10. you can watch the grease fill all the voids too.

Silvertip, I agree using your hands. Add a little elbow grease and the bearings will be packed in short order. Besides it's more fun manually.:D

I use a packer,but every time I do 'em,my hands get full of grease any way.

nitrile gloves and some of those blue shop paper towels will help ya out :D
