Paging Rodbolt, 50hp, 73 evinrude d-shaft clearance

This message is for Rodbolt or anyone else who can help me. I need the dimension to set the pinion bearing clearance on the drive shaft. Rodbolt said in a previous post he might have the gauge with the dimension, but I haven't heard anymore. The dealerships use a gauge, but I think I can set it with the dimension from the gauge.<br />Hope you can help.

i also asked which bearing type you had. the "onepiece" that was a tapered bearing or the flat torrington style. they use different gauges.

Rodbolt<br />The thrust bearing is flat, Torrington. Theupper driveshaft bearing is a cylindrical needle.<br />Thanks
