Our 1988 Lowe pontoon has a hard metal top. It's starting to look a little rough, and it leaks in a few spots when it rains. I know this because Kentucky had the rainiest summer in history (or at least in long time) last year, and we spent many hours on the lake in downpours. We want to paint the top, or put some kind of coating on it. We thought about mobile home roof coating, but I'm wondering if there's something else that would work better. What do you think?

I would think the white camper top coating would be a good place to start. Thats made to stick to and seal alum. And last year was a pure mess i am in WV close to Huntington so i was hit with all of the rain to.

I agree with MH. Clean off roof really well, using something like JOMAX if there is mold, or mildew present. Any rusted area could be scrubbed, and painted with good primer. Then use the roof coating. If you cannot do the prep work, it won't last as long, but the roof coating applied per instructions is still best bet.
