I have a '82 Glassmaster 18' in process of restoring. I've tackled everything except the hull. The hull has a fading coat of bottom paint and the from the waterline up isn't painted. The boat will not be left in the water, however I have heard it is very hard to remove bottom paint once applied. I'm fine with having bottom paint on the boat, but whats the process for applying new bottom paint over an existing coat?
I plan on doing the sand/AwlGrip gloss white on the hull above the waterline. (the hull is kinda chalky dull)
