Paint ?

Hello, I purchased a used bass boat last fall with the intentions of selling it this spring for more $$. One of my cosmetic problems is the paint, it appears the gel coat has worn off on most of the above the water line surface leaving it coarse and dull. Is it possible to reapply the top gel coat to make the surface more presentable?

I want to keep this project cheap of coarse8)

OOPS - I meant clear coat not get coat:^

wet sand that puppy with some 1500 then hit it with some compound for a nice shine.

has anyone ever use the gelcoat rejuvenator by PRESTO - I saw this product on ebay and it looks to good to be true.
