Hey guys, I am about to paint my 14 ft tri hull this weekend and just have a few quick questions before I do. I was going to do the roll and tip method to paint my boat outside and go for a satin black finish. The mixture is 1 part poly paint and 1 part flattening agent to get a satin finish. I read on the application guide and they recommend doing all your coats normal with no flattener and the last coat with the flattener to get a dull finish. It also recommends you spray the paint if your using a flattening agent. My question is that if I just spray 3 coats of paint and use the flattening agent in all of them wil it make a big difference as far as durability or should I roll and tip the first 2 coats and spray the 3rd? Thanks guys
