painting aluminum hull

Is there any type of sealent paint I could use to paint my aluminum hull bottem that would help with little leaks if the rivets loosen up,I had five that were loose and i've tighten them up. any help, thank you

i put gluvit on rivets,what i need now is a good bottem paint for my hull,or are they all the same?

go down to the "project boats" section and do a<br />search on the subject. lots of great info/advice.<br />AL hulls require special/different topside and<br />bottom paints.<br />I personally like the "Petit" line, but there are<br />lots of choices.<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.

thanks, i posted down their,hope to get reply soon<br />also after i put gluvit on rivets i flipped boat over filled it with water, no more leaks -thanks again for the info

Question for yall,<br /><br />Do you think the gluvit would work if the boat is on the trailer and I was under it painting the rivets, or does the boat have to be turned upside down? Also does the paint around the rivets and the rivets themselves have to be sanded down to the all.?<br /><br />You know why I'm asking 14' fully rigged boat with 48 spl on the back, not looking forward to turning it upside down.<br /><br />Thanks for the info.<br />Beck
