Painting cowling should I keep the decals?

Here are a few pictures of my cowling. I bought tempo paint and I'm going to repaint my cowling but I was wondering if I should keep the decals and mask them,remove them, or get a decal kit. They are in reasonable shape but the back decal that has the 150 is severely sundamaged.

depends on what kind of job you want to do and what budget.


if you want a pro job.....then get the stickers

if you just want to cover it......then paint around them.

I've decided to mask and paint around them. Its about impossible to find the decals for my motor. I think it will turn to good and worst case its looks 5x better than now. Ill keep my eye out for decals and if anyone knows a place or a recommendation on where to get decals let me know, 1988 Mariner Magnum 150hp..
