I have a Princecraft aluminum boat and the paint on the inside is just about worn off in places and faded badly the rest. Is there a special paint for this job or can I just use a good quality metal paint with low sheen and non slip qualities?

A good quality boat paint might wear better on the floor surfaces ...... even the "industrial quality" rustoleum might work fine.

They say all aluminum should be primed with a self-etching primer for best results.

most don't agree with me, but i've been paint my aluminum boats with the $1.00 to $2.00 home depot/lowes spray paints for years, and never had a problem. a little scratch or scuff mark, easy fix.
