I have a 17 runabout hull, built in 1996, but never been in water yet, never had motor installed.Bought it from a guy who worked on it some to add finish and interiour, but divorced and never got it finished. Once turning it upside down, he lost control and it slipped from him and fell to the ground, landing on upper shell. It developed some hairline cracks in two areas, not a lot, but some anyway. I am going to paint the hull as i dont want a yellow boat. What do I do to the cracks. Will they break through the new paint and primer later ??

Re: Painting over hairline cracks

I had bad crazing everywhere. I just used Gluvit to seal and repair the crazing. It worked great. See my post below Glu-vit is the shiz-nit.
