Part Number for Glastron Windshield

My first post was this morning and I got home at lunch to find the windshield shattered in the boat. I'm not really sure what caused it but the entire thing was shattered. Anyway, I've talked to several companies and does anyone know how, where, or what the part number is for a windshield on a 2001 Glastron GX185. It's the left side of the boat.

Also, had one company already tell me their plexiglass couldn't fit in it because of how it twisted. Thanks.

If you bought the boat new, you should have gotten info on the windshield supplier--not Glastron--maybe they can help. Or maybe someone on the forum has the data from a new boat.

Otherwise, you will need a custom job.

the only place that would have that or be able to tell where they got it is Glastron,. all they made was the hull, everything else was a vendor part and being 10 years old you may have to search salvage yards since I really doubt they make that anymore.

Boat's are way different than cars, they just don't keep a bunch of spare parts around because the runs are so low.

a decent car will have 300,000-500,000 units produced where your boat may have only had 50-100 models made, they just don't have the space or resources to store all there parts for years and years.

Try Glastron first and go from there.

Our previous boat was an '02 Glastron GX205. If I remember right, the windshield had a TaylorMade sticker on it. You might be able to get some info from them.

Be prepared for sticker shock The boat windshield could cost more money then a small used car!! Take a shot at the original boat manufacturer first and then see if you can find a glass shop to make you a replacement. Windshields are the worst
