Part # or Custom Part?

This structure was in the engine bay which appeared to have 2 functions: provide some structural cover for the battery and support the decking above. Does anybody know if this part is a custom part or is a standard part? It fit as long legs facing screwed onto the battery board center line and short legs screwed outboard to the engine bay structure. I have 1 but the 2nd one got destroyed/rotted. 1 goes on each side.

That's steel, isn't it? Is the deck soft in that area?

I think it's a cobbled together PO affair to support a soft deck. Cobia would have used non-ferrous material.

Disclaimer - Never poked my head under the deck of any Cobia.

I think it is a trade I will have to learn... the support for this boat is wood with like a fiberglass/composite wall. Almost like a house wall with wood studs and drywall.
