Is there any money to be made parting out an older toon? I need a trailer, and can buy an older toon with one cheaper than a trailer alone. Thanks.

why not just sell the toon without a trailer?

If you put in the time to take it apart you might get a couple hundred for the aluminum and maybe a couple hundred more for the motor if it runs but that is about it.

You could always keep the trailer and sell just the boat, maybe get more for it as a complete unit and alot less work.

I agree with the others. Sell the boat as a 'fixer-upper'.

Thanks guys, I just didn't think anyone that would buy an older one would do so without a trailer. Now I just have to keep an eye on CL for a suitable doner.

Heck, if it were located closer to me... I would be VERY interested in a good set of pontoons!!!!

Re: Part Out Pontoon

I am looking for a fixer upper pontoon boat. My wife loves to fish but she is disabled and can't get in and out of any other kind of boat. Please let me know what you have and the lowest price that you would consider. We are on a fixed income and can't afford much.

Thank You Neighbor
