We have recently aquired a 1985 toyota MR2. The engine and possibly tranny are shot. It was given to us free, and dad is gonna bring it home either tomorrow or next monday so we can start cutting it up for the scrapyard. I was checking through ebay and stuff like headlights and taillights and interior stuff such as dash panels and ashtrays. What else should we part out rather than scrapping?
None of yall need parts do ya?

MR2's are not exactly rare but they aren't real common either. If it was easy to take off and lightweight (gotta remeber shipping costs) then I'd keep it if I had a place to hide it. Ebay is still a great place to list these types of things. Being that the car is 22 yo now parts are starting to get scarce. Sell it and make ya a buck or two.

In my experiance...... pick a few parts and put them on ebay and use MR2 Parted OUT in title...... the emails will start to roll in and people will be asking.... do you have..... what about......

About 75% of it will sell that way...... then get rid of it.

Headlights are just bulbs but the assembly that holds the bulb is worth it..... all lenses for the lights.

Take a few shots of the entire car and then a photo of the piece you are selling.

You will be amazed what will sell.

Any electrial that works ,wiper motor, starter, ignition, coil, altenator ,heater controls other things like wiper transmissions ,speedo, you would be surprized even parts from a dead engine and transmission...someone is always looking for something,if your going to use eboy start auctions real low like a buck to reel them in
