Parts for a fuel tank connector to VRO disabled 50 hp Johnson outboard

2 questions. I replaced the diaphragms/washers in a VRO fuel pump versus swapping it out for a non-VRO fuel pump. I don't think the issue was worn parts because the old ones looked good. The problem seems to be the old fuel hose and especially a leak at the male fuel tank connector. I plan to replace the hose and connectors with OEM.

1st question. See pictures. Which part do I need since the VRO is disabled and I don't need an oil line/connector? Can you please give me a part number or link where I can buy?

2nd question. See pictures. When putting the fuel pump back in the motor, a 5/16" bit slipped down into the cavity of the motor. Can't find it anywhere and I think it went down a hole where the lower cowlings meet. I don't know if I can retrieve it since it's at such an extreme angle and I'd have to take multiple parts off to get a grabber or magnet in the hole. Any idea what's down in this hole and if it's a show stopper if I can't retrieve the bit?

Thanks

Without being there, it's hard to tell exactly what is going on.
But if I were to hazard a guess, it looks like you lost the bit down the centre of the pivot shaft.
You could drop the lower unit down to look for it. It'll probably be sitting on top in there somewhere.
if it's been 3 or more years, you'll want to drop the LU anyways to replace the impeller as this is a high wear item requiring routine replacement. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I've got both a new hose and fuel tank connector on order. It was not easy finding OEM parts since all the BRP/Evinrude news.
