Looking for parts for a 4.3L gets confusing to me. So many different engines
Any manuals or service bullitins would be appreciated. I prefer Mercruiser/quicksilver replacement parts

Engine number C393247
Drive unit OC500002
Transom Assembly 0C489657

Want to get bellows, lower shift cable, trim pucks, and any other parts when dismantled.

Thanks
Gerry

Don
When I type my serial number in it says I have a 1988 motor.
The serial number also does not match to what I have found on stamps on engine

Re: Parts for my Starcraft

Yes, it's an 88 motor, not uncommon for boats to have an engine/drive package a year older or even newer than the boat itself.
Boat year is Jan 1 to Dec 31, engines model years change in the middle of the year. Boat manufacturers also order engine packages well in advance of the boats being built, and they just keep rotating their stock.

The serial number you posted for your drive, 0C500002 is also incorrect, it should be 0C500020

The engine and drive numbers were originally installed in a boat with the last numbers of the HIN as 2C889

You posted the engine/drive/transom shield numbers and they match to your boat, so what are these other numbers you speak of????

The serial number also does not match to what I have found on stamps on engine

The 02 is the same drive and ratio, it's just your boat shipped with the 20 number. Unless it was registered with the wrong number, which is also possible.
