Online Merc parts, couple of questions:
1. What are the public access codes, name and pw?
2. Once you go to all the trouble of getting to the part you want, how do you keep the site from timing out on you after just a few minutes which locks you out requiring #1 question info which you don't possess ?

Comments appreciated.

I don't know what site you are using, but sounds like it may be a corporate Merc site intended for dealers???

I use crowleymarine dot com or mercruiserparts dot com

They are both Mercury dealers.

Catalog interface is a bit different, but you can browse all the parts available by make, model, year, or part number.

Once I get into a particular section, I right click on a specific item, like gearcase, and open it in a new tab.
Look at the exploded view diagrams, scroll the parts list, etc.

Once you get the part numbers, you can come back here to iboats and check for availability, or google search aftermarket equivalent, search for item on ebay, buy it from crowley or mercuiser., or go to your local Merc dealer and buy it from them.

They are usually all selling them for the same price.

Apparently they are dealer based. Thanks for the reply. Will do.

Ha. Tried to print what you said and it wouldn't print. I guess iboats doesn't want you to copy their site postings! Guess I'll copy and paste to my Text Edit and copy that.
