Parts required for 1955 Johnson 5.5

Hi folks,

I have just aquired a 1955 Johnson 5.5 Model CD-12 sn 1309181. It was given to me by a coworker who tore it apart for a rebuild and then gave up. I have been able to locate all the ignition parts, carb kits and impeller kits for a rebuild but cannot locate new piston rings and a gasket and seal kit to rebuild the power head.

Any help would be appreciated.

you need a parts manual for that particular motor, ebay or here http://www.outboardbooks.com/

Piston ring set (for one piston) - 378432
Gasket set, less head gasket - 376446
Head gasket - 303438

Thanks guys,

I definitely need a manual. Now that I have some part numbers where do I order from? The local marina says if it's not in the Sierra catalog they can't get it. Does BRP still support the old stuff? I was on their site but did not find reference to anything as far back as 1955.
