What's the best way to fill drilled holes on a transom ? After a few years of putting it off, I'm replacing the plywood cross board on the transom. On a Harborcraft they have 1" thick x 8" plywood board from gunnel to gunnel, plus the motor pad .Being rotten, it came out easily. While I'm at it ,I'll mount some brackets for fold down launching wheels . But to do that I'm going to have to move the fishfinder and fill those holes as well as those left by the previous owners attempt at launching wheels. .

I would put a bolt thru it with 5200 if its just a fishing rig. however if you want it to look pretty, have them welded up.

Thanks. I just bought a TIG welder but I haven't struck an arc with it yet .It'll be hard to get it flat to weld, with the transom 12' in the air, chuckle. BTW decent AC/DC TIG welders for boats can be had for as little as $700, plus bottle and consumables. Everlast and AHP

Is 3M's 5200 a urethane sealant ?

For $35 you can have a certified welder who knows what he is doing to weld it
