...and savings too! For my hopefull video surveillance Dell 2400, I just scored 2 gb's of pc2700 ram AND a P4 2.6 ghz CPU for $30.00! So far, I have installed the ram and it registers correctly.

The 2.6 ghz P4 will replace the 2.4 ghz Celeron.

This is good reminder to always check Craigslist. 2 gb's of PC2700 or 3200 was going for $60-80 on ebay. I got the RAM and the CPU for a fraction of that and I got it now!

I just installed all the new goods. Besides having nearly sliced the tip of my left index finger off while razorblading the old Celeron chip off the heatsink, everything is working well.

System Properties now show;

Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.66 ghZ/2.00 gb RAM

Thank goodness for butterfly bandages. It will save me a trip to the emergency room for stitches on this 4th of July nite,
