(1991 Sport Nautique, PCM 351, RH rotation, 1:1, 105 hr on new MM short block)Just wondering if anyone has seen this before or any ideas of what is causing it? I'm switching from the PCM Pro-tec ingition and installing the conventional distributor retro kit becouse I lost spark. When I pulled the PCM distributor it was very obvious why and that there was a problem with the drive gear. It has 1 spline that is semi-ok and they tapper down as you go around from there, getting thinner and thinner until the last 3 or 4 which are completely gone. I find it weired that it would wear in this pattern. The cam gear looks to be wearing evenly exept for the exit side of one spline has a small chipped corner. Any ideas?
