Best to use to bond stringers to hull?...Is it just sawdust and resin mixed "hot"...

I would use a construction adhesive to bond them to the hull. Peanut butter will work best if epoxy resin is used to make it, if you are bonding something to something else. Polyester resin is a poor glue on its own, even with fillers added. You don?t want to use wood flour because it will soak water. It may be better to use colloidal silica and glass bubbles to make the mix.

Personally I would use PL Premium from the home center right out of a caulking gun. It will hold them in place until you glass them in. And it will give some bedding to prevent hard spots. You will need thickened resin of some sort to make fillets if needed. Polyester will work fine for that. But epoxy is best for bonding.

The PL serves to hold them in place until you get them glassed in and for bedding. Once you have glassed over them, bonding is not as much an issue. Epoxy peanut butter will bond very well. But it is overkill in my opinion. Save your money and get some PL from the home center. Its kind of like liquid nail but it is polyurethane based.

I used epoxy and colloidal silica...good luck on getting them out if someone ever has to redo the stringers again

Different people, different opinions. You can use PL to bed your stringers, but it's no better (or worse) than using air or foam.

If you want to use a peanut butter mix to bond them, I'd recommend just using wood flour (really finely ground dry wood particles, not sawdust) or a mix of cabosol and milled fibers. You mix the resin first, then mix in the dry ingredients until the mix becomes the thickness you want... typically something around creamy peanut butter. A mechanical mixer helps.
