Pee hole question

My pee hole had a fitting that broke off the end of the hose where the water came out. I didn't replace that fitting and just let the 1/8" rubber line hang out the cowling. My question is, will that harm anything without the fitting that broke? There is a larger stream of water coming out now which is warm to the touch while in operation. I was just thinking with the fitting installed it may create resistance so the water would pump through the motor with proper flow.

Re: Pee hole question

When one thing fails, it's best to correct the problem properly rather than to make do so to speak. Eventually something else will break and you know where that leads to.

That tell tale outlet is the first place that water pressure is applied to. The plastic outlet is purposely designed to that small size so that a greater amount of water is forced thru other passages in the powerhead.

Bottom line.... replace the fitting.
