Pennzoil synthetic blend oil

Hi, I have a 1984 merc 150 black max, I have always used merc oil. Can I use pennzoil synthetic blend oil without harming my engine, or another synthetic oil? Thanks guys

Any NMMA certified TC-W3 oil will do fine, woodchuck.

Synthetics and semi-synthetics will smoke a bit less.

I use Wal Mart SuperTech with no problems.
