Hi,
I have posted quite a bit lately and I want to say thanks for the help this far. I have an issue that popped up and I wasnt expecting. While i had the lower unit full down to change the oil, i noticed that the center pivot above the lower unit, where the trim sender is located is loose, I also noticed that the horse shoe looking bracket that goes to the lower unit is loose on each side.

How big of deal is it to replace these parts? I am very mechanically inclined, but i want to get a full understanding of what the job will entail. Also im still looking for a DP-C1 specific manual so i can rebuild it.

Also, i was hoping that i would be able to take it out for a few weekends before taking this job. I have been slaving in my spare time to get the boat up to snuff on everything that was wrong with it. I would prefer to do it over the winter. Would there be any serous repercussions to running it? The unit is not hanging by a thread, but it defiantly has play in the top center mount and those two side mounts.

Thank you,

Kyle

Its called a pivot fork, and the top bearing and side ones are loose.
