ok so i bought my boat back in august last year first peron who called after guy dropped price for end of the year sale lucky you might say.
its a 1991 four winns 5.8l omc with cobra outdrive 55 gallon tank that was basically empty. price $4500.00 firm, he wouldnt budge on the price i tried to lower it. with full camper canvas and newer snap on cover both in great almost unused condition, boat was a little dirty but nothing i cant clean.
i askd him how much it wieghed he said he figures 4500-5000 lbs my truck is a 95 f 150 2 wheel drive with the 302 8 foot bed. so wieght was a key factor in buying at a max on the truck of 6250 i was close. today i had a thought going past the scrap yard and stoped in for a wieght. last week my truck wieghed 4400lbs when i scrapd a motor when i rolled on the scale it was showing me 10,640.

6,240--- max gvwr 6,250 now that scale is only accurate to 20 pounds differnce. with a full tank of fuel i am 10 pounds under
just wondering if any one else has done this and found that they are on the dot max gvwr?
as for safty i drive safer then the idiots on the road usually watching them more then they ever watch me, also my surge brakes work great!
