Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy performance engine boat parts, something like edelbrock for boats. I need a new intake manifold, carburetors and such. Engine is 5.0 l v8, 302 ford. Outdrive made by OMC.

Which OMC drive do you have, Stringer or Cobra? I think the Cobra would better handle the power.

There's a world of things you can do, but you have to make sure the benefits are below 4200 rpm. Above that will be useless. Merc's version of your engine was rated at 188hp with a 2bbl. With a 450 cfm 4bbl, it went to 215 or 225. If you are in freshwater only, you could use a nice ebrock 4bbl alum intake. Not sure how well it would work, but Holley makes a 500cfm marine 2bbl that would probably bolt on to your existing intake. Just make sure iwhatever you do, it's a marine carb.

As stated, must be very careful with cams or they suck water in.
I'm having a blast with my 302.
