I am trying to install a second battery on my glastron gs 160, 115 evinrude 1997. I have searched but cant seem to find the answer I dont understand.
The current wireing set up has two hot lines. 1 positive going to the motor and the other running the fuse panel under the dash. But the negative side of the battery has just the one ground going to the engine. As i understand the diagrams, i would put the positive starter cable to the com port of the perko switch, the positive for both batteries to the switch and then a line between each battery negative.
My question is, what do i do the ground cable that is on the battery now? can i just link both negative battery posts together and then put this cable on either battery? where does that cable go?
