The attached diagram is how I think I should wire my boat. I am very concerned about the wiring as just prior to be obtaining the boat it had a severe wire melting problem. The problem occurred shortly after a trickle charger was installed.

I have two batteries which are wired in series to give 24v. Bank 1 and 2 of the charger charges these batteries. I currently have one starting battery but am considering putting in a house battery.

I think I have all of the wiring correct except I am not sure where the negative wire for post 2 should go from and to. I think it will run from the (-) post of battery 2 to the (-) of either start or house.

Any help will be appreciated.

Don’t think your starter is going to like having 24 volts applied when battery select is set to X

Trolling motor circuit (24v) should be kept separate from 12 volt system. Start on switch A, house on switch B

After you say that, it makes perfect sense. I should not have followed the same set up that was on the boat previously. Luckily I haven't applied power. Thanks for the help.
