permanent pervasive pop ups

Just when the election is over and we get a break from the robo calls and constant ads and pop-ups, I am getting permanent pop-ups here, with no X to click to close them. And instead of just showing up on the forum list, they come up on every thread I open. They interfere with the whole lower third of the screen, like for changing forum topics on the drop down.

Why the change? Why would the vendors think that by annoying me I'll become a customer? talk about marketing failure.

Or maybe it's a new campaign. I'd gladly pay a $20 membership fee to be rid of them. You win. Sign me up--or give me my X to clear these wretched things!

Its the lack of business its driving them to go to more and more extreams. Firefox cures it, I made the switch last fall, no more stupid pop ups.

For the hundredth or so time. add *.doubleclick.net and *.doubleclick.com to your restricted sites list and you will get rid of all the nonsense on this site and many others

x2 on the Fire Fox. Been accessing this site since the bother some Silverado pop ups thru Fire Fox and haven't seen any since

Already covered in the Non-Boating Technical Topics forum where this should have been posted. It is NOT a boating problem.
