I guess I am obsessed with pocket 22 pistols. Last one I bought was a Taurus 22PLY and I like it b/c it is double action and it will fire without it being cocked....I do not really like carrying a pistol in condition one mode. That being said I have become intrigued with the phoenix HP22 (single action) and have just ordered one. Because it has to be cocked before you can fire it (some carry cocked but I don't) I will just use this as a camp gun rather than CC. Does anyone have one of these?

Not familiar with that one, I will have to go take a look at it.

Don't laugh, it only cost $130 so it might be a pc of junk. Somehow it caught my attention.....then again I might be a junky kind of guy! I just got it to play with.

Well I after firing several hundred rounds through this cheapo pistol without a single failure I love it. Surprisingly accurate and super fun for a plinker. The one downside is the 3 redundant safeties which really aggravated me. It took about five minutes to modify the safeties and now it cycles like a normal semi. A fun toy!

bigdee, I have never ever seen one before because I have all the 22 pistols I'll ever need. I have a Ruger Standard model, yes the first one they designed and sold, and love it for plinking. But if you like the Taurus 22PLY, isn't that all the really matters? If everybody only liked one gun, there wouldn't be a huge market for so many others. I posted a picture for others to see what you are talking about.

Not a bad looking little pistol, I did look around here when this thread first started and could not find one in any of the local stores, they all told me they would order one, but I had to put a deposit down and if I decided I didn't like it, they were going to keep part of my deposit, so I gave up on that idea, but it is a neat looking little pistol from looking at the pictures.

No Title

I was referring to the phoenix when posting #5. Fun pistol for cheap. I also have the Taurus ply22 that I use for conceal carry because it is DA and does need to be racked....just pull the trigger.
