piants and primers

i have this 14' jon boat and thinking of painting it now i have no idea what kind of piant to use inside or outside ,i think i heard there is a special paint for the outside and can i use and external paint for inside of hull, please steer me in the right direction..........thanks

Ayuh,....

For a rowboat it's kinda hard to go wrong using Rustoeum for the Whole Thing....

What paint you use doesn't matter so much as using an etching primer before hand, paint won't stick to aluminum without it, the primer is actually acid based and eats into the aluminum then your paint sticks to the primer.

You may consider just painting to the water line, then you don't have to worry about tearing up the paint on the bottom, a little masking tape and some newspaper and you are good.
