Most of those motors had the little square pump.---A wonderful / simple / reliable little pump.-----But it could be mounted / oriented in different ways.---And they are marked with ---" up " ---on one of the pieces.

Yes the small pump, but I’d say they were all mounted the same on a 1976 from the factory. Need to confirm. Thx

????-----But that pump was used on different motors !!------3 HP-and up to 25 HP as well.-------No telling if the pump on your motor is the factory original.----A factory rebuild kit would come with instructions so you could do an A1 repair job just like the $100 / hr shop.

Ok racerone got ya now. So the outlet and inlet can have different variations even if I bought a new one? Just make sure up is up and connect the right hoses to their corresponding outlet/inlet? Thx

Yes Crosbyman a little bit confusing, But I found a great video on YouTube. Actually rebuilt it after I posted this question. My only concern was the last plate I put on did not have the U stamped on it, not sure if that really matters. But I believe it’s good to go. Did the blow test and it passed.,

I always score one side of the pump "sandwich of parts" before disassembly use a carbide tip marker or run a hacksaw blade on the side. of the pump body. that way there is no doubt on putting it back like it was.

Well I took a picture of the motor along time ago. Was able to zoom in
on fuel pump. So I put it back together like this and just started motor in barrel gonna take it out tomorrow if it’s not raining. Thx
