Hi all, anyone know of any web sites that show pictures of all the outboards evinrude produced, i,m trying to identify mine, thanks, paul

Look at the tag on the mounting bracket and get the model number. You can identify it with this.

thanks jack, but the i.d. plate is missing from the transom bracket

Here's some pics that cover 50's to mid 70's. Look under 'Catalog overview'. Model number might be on the freeze plug on the top of the engine too.

Thanks Paul, checked your pics out - no luck unfortunately, I think mine is from the eighties, I looked for a freeze plug, but no sign of one on my engine ?

You could try this place and try to crossreference some of the casting part numbers (the part will be cast with a number). It should get you close.<br />Sorry about the link to the competition iBoats, I didn't mean it! (I think this link has been used before anyway)
